The Arcadian Tea Room was built on the corner of Main Street and Fraser Street in 1910. The store was located across the road from the Post Office and sold chocolate, fruit, and other goods. The walls were decorated with original art and a no smoking policy was enforced. The restaurant remained a community meeting place until it caught fire on November 30, 1957 and burned to the ground.  It was not rebuilt.
