Discover the people and places of North Bay’s past and present.
Inspiring Discovery.
Located in the historic Canadian Pacific Railway station, the North Bay Museum strives to fulfil its mission to “inspire the discovery of the people and places of North Bay’s past and present” through programming and exhibits. The museum includes a blend of interactive and artifact based exhibits designed to appeal to audiences of all ages.
“North Bay at 100” Now Open
Join us for a series of events this May to kick off celebrations for North Bay’s Centennial Year.
North Bay at 100” began with a call-out to the North Bay community. We used social media, word of mouth, and local media to encourage the community to “send us your stories” to help us celebrate North Bay’s Centennial.
The result is a wide variety of displays that reflect the events, industries, institutions, people, and places that impacted the lives of ordinary North Bay residents. Rather than choosing only a few topics to focus on, we created a diverse display that reflects many of the facets of North Bay’s history, as represented in historical objects and photographs. This display was funded in part by the City of North Bay's Centennial event fund.

Haunted Hikes
The North Bay Museum’s Haunted Hike returns Fridays in October starting at 6pm.
This 60-minute downtown walking tour has been revamped to include true crime stories on top of our well-loved ghost tales, and will ensure visitors see North Bay in a whole new light. We start in our very own museum, the old Canadian Pacific Railway Station, where we chill you with stories that include sightings in our building! Then we venture into downtown towards the old Arcadian Grill, travel all the way down Main Street to the North Bay Court House, then make our way back to the museum. We’ll include haunting historic stories all along the way!
