Messing about with this Sportspal canoe, are Mati Sauks and a family friend. They are shown at their family cottage on the south shore of Lake Nipissing, just outside the Callander Bay islands.

I was drawn to this image for several reasons. Taken on beautiful Lake Nipissing, it is wonderfully composed with balance and an ideal spatial placement of people and objects such as the well-known North Bay-built Sportspal canoe. Everything works well. There is clarity, good colour and sense of depth and distance.
