Memories of… Marshall Park School

I have fond memories of our family home on Lakeshore (still in the family), and competing for the Titan swim team in the Ontario and National Championships. But in terms of later career, I am most thankful to Mr. Edwards, the principal of Marshall Park School. When another student and I were behaving badly during Math (because of boredom), we were pulled out of class and “sent to the principal”. Only in this case, it was for special tutoring by the principal himself. Later, in Grade 8, we walked down the street to West Ferris Secondary to join a Grade 9 math class. This was before the days of “enrichment” classes, so I appreciate the “exceptions” that these teachers made, and the extra work they did.
